Camfil Farr show how building energy costs can be reduced by up to 50% at The Energy Show this week

Camfil Farr, the world leader in the production and development of air filters will be a key exhibitor at the Energy Event 2010 on 8th and 9th September at the National Motorbike Museum, Birmingham.

The two day event is expected to see hundreds of delegates through its doors, and will play host to over 100 exhibitors split over three floors in seven exhibition rooms.  A top class conference programme will run throughout the event where key industrial professionals will share their knowledge and capabilities in packed seminar theatres.

Camfil Farr is a global manufacturer of air filtration equipment and associated services and the world leader in the production and development of air filters.   They recently became the first manufacturing company in the UK to be awarded Energy Management Standard BS EN 16001. Representatives from Camfil will be on stand number 112 at the show to show delegates how they achieved this ‘industry first’ energy standard.

Bill Wilkinson, Camfil Farr Managing Director will give an informative and thought-provoking talk to delegates on how installing low energy air filters within HVAC systems can reduce energy bills in buildings by between 25 and 50%.  He will demonstrate how a well designed,  low energy air filter will not compromise efficiency and could save up to £300 in energy, over the installed lifetime of the filter.   He will give some industry specific case studies and show delegates how Camfil achieved their enviable BS EN 16001 energy standard.

Bill Wilkinson – Camfil Farr – Thursday 9th September at 14.00 in the ESTA Session – ESTA/CIBSE Conference Room

14:00 to 15:00 The ABC of Energy Management

● Fundamental techniques for assessing and managing energy use

● Tools to help you manage energy

● Using EN16001 to provide a structured energy management approach including a case study

Bill Wilkinson said:

“Camfil’s challenge is to educate FM’s, Estates, Property Managers and property owners about the substantial energy saving opportunities that can be made by replacing existing filter assets with low energy air filters.   With CRC deadlines looming, I am sure there will be plenty of delegates at the show interested in finding out how they can make significant energy savings (money and carbon tonnes) quickly, with paybacks often less than 3 months”

He went on to say:

“Air filters consume about 30% of the energy used in such systems.  A badly selected filter can cost over £500 per year.  Camfil products and services deliver clean air with economic benefits, our filter products are designed for both optimised energy performance and air quality”.

Visit stand 112 to find out how Camfil filters can reduce your energy bills by between 25- 50% – ideal for CRC compliance and energy reduction targets.
